About Dark Shop

Dark Shop is an online marketplace for digital offers: gift cards, subscriptions, official free trials, software and AI tools. Independent sellers list offers. We approve every seller and review every listing before it goes live, run the checkout, and handle refunds and reports.

What Dark Shop does

Unless a listing says otherwise, the seller is the party selling the offer to you. Dark Shop operates the marketplace, verifies sellers, reviews listings before publication, processes payment through a hosted payment provider, and handles refunds and disputes as set out in the terms and the refund policy.

Some listings are bought on the brand’s own website. For those, you pay the brand directly at its official price, Dark Shop takes no payment, and the listing shows that price with the date it was checked.

How sellers are approved

Before a seller can list, a reviewer reads what they tell us about who they are and what they sell, and approves or declines them. We do not check identity documents. Each seller page shows when they were approved and any brand authorizations on file. Sellers who break the marketplace rules lose approval, and their listings come down.

Categories that require it, such as AI tools, software, and music and entertainment, also need an approved brand authorization: a reseller agreement, partner program or other proof that the seller may sell that brand’s offers. Seller standards

How every listing is reviewed

A reviewer must confirm each of these before a listing can go live. The offer page then lists the checks that were confirmed for it.

  • The seller was reviewed and approved. Every listing.
  • Terms, eligibility and redemption steps are complete. Every listing.
  • The seller is authorized to sell this brand. Categories that require brand authorization, such as AI tools and software.
  • The redemption destination was opened and checked. Listings bought on the brand's own website.
  • A sample of the delivery was tested and works: a reviewer redeems or opens a sample code, key or file, or confirms the delivery steps for a service. Everything a seller delivers (every listing not bought on the brand's site).
  • The reference price was checked against its source. Listings that show a crossed-out price.
  1. Seller checks

A reviewer approves every seller before they can list. Each seller page shows when they were approved.

  2. Listing review

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live: the terms, the price, any discount claim, and a test of the delivery itself (a sample code, key or file is checked).

  3. Price evidence

A crossed-out price appears only when we can check it against the provider's public price. Otherwise you see one price.

  4. Ongoing checks

Ended offers come down automatically. Buyer reports go to a review queue, and listings that break the rules are removed.

Prices

A crossed-out price is shown only when we have checked it against the provider's public price. Without that check there's no crossed-out price, just the price you pay. Stock counts and end dates come from the listing itself, and sellers can’t pay for placement.

Official brand prices are shown with the date they were checked. See AI subscription prices, official free trials and gift cards by brand.

Payments

Payments go through a hosted checkout run by our payment provider. Your card details go directly to them. Dark Shop never sees or stores your full card number. An order is confirmed only when the payment provider confirms payment.

Refunds

Every listing shows one of these refund rules before you pay, and the rule is saved with your order.

Refundable until revealed
Full refund any time before you reveal the code or key. After it is revealed, refunds are possible only if it does not work.
Refundable within a set window
Request a refund within the stated number of days of delivery.
Refund if not delivered
Full refund if the order is not delivered as described or on time.
Final sale
Not refundable once delivered, unless the offer does not work as described.

Whatever the rule, you can request a refund if an item was not delivered, a code was invalid when you received it, or it was not as described. Refund policy

Reviews and reports

Only buyers whose item was delivered can leave a review, once per item. A rating appears only after an offer or seller has at least 3 reviews.

Every offer page has a “Report this listing” link, and you don’t need an account. Reports go to our review team, not to the seller, and listings that break the rules are paused or removed. For a problem with something you bought, open the order: that keeps the details together and starts a refund where it applies.

Contact and support
